Kahanu Garden is home to Pi’ilanihale Heiau, believed to be the largest ancient structure in Polynesia. Visit this profound Hawaiian place on a self-guided tour and deepen your relationship with the plants, places, and cultural heritage that sustain us.

Explore the garden at your own pace. Build pilina (connection) with the plants that have sustained Hawaiʻi for countless generations. Experience the mana (spirit) of the chiefs of old and savor the serenity of this secluded place. Tour reservations are appreciated.

9 am to 3 pm Monday through Saturday


This is a self-guided tour, so there is no time limit other than the operating hours of the garden. The tour takes approximately 1 hour (recommended minimum) and we ask all guests be out of the Garden by 3:30pm.
