On Saturday, September 7th (10 a.m. – 3 p.m.), staff from NTBG’s Kahanu Garden and the Breadfruit Institute will join cultural practitioners and local retailers for Lā ‘Ulu (Breadfruit Day) at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Kahului, Maui. Come celebrate all things breadfruit with cooking demonstrations, cultural activities, plant and product sales, and more in this free, family‐friendly event.
Kahanu Garden staff will have a limited supply of tissue culture‐grown Ma‘afala variety breadfruit plants and other retail items for purchase (all sales support NTBG’s work). Breadfruit Institute staff will be available to answer questions about growing breadfruit, agroforestry, and the work we do locally and globally.
For more event information, call (808) 249‐2798 or email info@mnbg.org.
