Locality:
Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Towards the back of gulch, on the left side. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0002. About 30 feet upstream from 0001.
Plant Description:
Tree with largest shoot about 33 feet tall. Large sideways growing branch with forked side shoots halfway down. Lots of herbivory on leaves. Main sideways branch covered in ferns, lichens, and bryophytes.

10-100 m2
Habitat:
Open canopy growing with mixed native and non-native plant species along side of stream.
Associated Species:
W/ Psidium guajava, Clidemia hirta, Aleurites moluccanus, Freycinetia arborea, Hedychium gardnerianum, Metrosideros polymorpha, Pisonia sandwicensis, Cordyline fruticosa, Dicranopteris linearis, Rubus argutus, Piper methysticum, Antidesma platyphyllum, Ipomoea batatas, Selaginella sp., Cyrtandra sp.

This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0002'. One sterile voucher specimen, DNA material and cuttings were collected. NTBG accession #20160202.
