Locality:
Lower Limahuli Valley. On ridge to the left about 20 minutes and contouring from gulch where 0010 and 0011 are located.
Plant Description:
Large shrub about 18 feet tall with many mature fruit (open capsules).
Habitat:
Open ridge in full sun. Growing out of thick Dicranopteris linearis with other native and non-native species nearby.
Associated Species:
W/ Dicranopteris linearis, Pisonia sandwicensis, Psidium cattleianum, Pipturus sp., Clidemia hirta, Schefflera actinophylla, Spathodea campanulata, Psychotria sp.
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number HIB WAI HAN LIM A 0012. Two voucher specimens in fruit, 53 seeds and DNA material collected.
