Up eastern side gulch of main Hanakapiai stream, before Hanakapiai falls. Towards the back of gulch, on the left side then just to the right of ridge where 0001 is located. Up slope, on right side. About 60 feet up gulch from 0034. Plant 0017 is about 10 feet up, at same level. HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0035
Plant Description:
Large shrub to small tree, about 30 feet tall. In bud and flower.

Habitat:
Growing with mixed native and non-native plant species, up steep slope on right side of gulch.
Associated Species:
W/ Clidemia hirta, Freycinetia arborea, Pisonia sandwicensis, Lantana camara, Antidesma platyphyllum, Cyrtandra sp., Boehmeria sp., Hedychium gardnerianum, Touchardia latifolia
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal species. Plant was flagged and tagged on a neighboring Pisonia sandwicensis with HIB WAI HAN IAI B 0035. Two flowering voucher specimens and DNA material collected.
