Plant Description:
Tree, 5 m tall, trunk gray-brown, corolla yellow, base of inner petals with purple markings, stamens and stigma yellow, occasional.
Habitat:
Coral rubble with tall coastal forest. Along breach strand.
Associated Species:
Barringtonia asiatica, Ochrosia oppositifolia, Hernandia nymphaeifolia, Guettarda speciosa, Cocos nucifera, Xylocarpus granatum, Thespesia populnea, with mangrove forest behind including Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, Rhizophora.
