Limahuli Valley. North exposure on a 75 degree slope.
Plant Description:
Small tree to 10 ft. Trunk diameter about 4 in. Spread appro x. 8 ft. with flowers and immature fruit. Several trees scat tered in the general area. Threats: rock slides and aggressi ve alien plants and rats eating fruit before it matures.
Habitat:
Highly degraded mi xed mesophytic forest, dominate tree is Schefflera actinophy lla.
Associated Species:
Associated with the following natives: Diospyros, Alyxi a, Bobea, Cyanea, Psychotria, Canthium, ohia, and Hibiscus.
