Looking for lively and refreshing drinks for summer use? Shrubs, also known as drinking vinegars, are becoming very popular for their sweet and sour refreshment.
They become especially tasty when enhanced by the use of Hawaiian super fruits! Join us for an afternoon in the garden to make your own herbal infused drinking vinegars while sipping on a medicinal mocktail!
Master mixologist, Tiana Kamen, will be hosting an herbal mixology class in the South Shore Garden. What is herbal mixology? The art and science of adding medicinal value to the world of tasty cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) using plants that can be found in your own backyard! The drinks are more delicious and nutritious than any mixer you will find on Kaua’i, and most importantly, will leave a lasting impression, including health benefits! This is a hands-on class where members make their own shrubs, from garden to table.
