This ornamental shrub or small tree is widely cultivated as an ornamental in tropical regions. Hibiscus ×archeri is a horticultural hybrid between H. rosa-sinensis and H. schizopetalus. The "×" signifies the plant is of hybrid origin, and the flower exhibit traits of both parents.
