Plant Description:
tree, 3 m tall, many branched, leaves silvery above, brown felty below, sterile, observed mid slope, uncommon
Habitat:
mesic Styphelia–Dodonaea shrubland with emergent Metrosideros and occasional pockets of mesic forest.
Associated Species:
with Coprosma foliosa, Claoxylon sandwicense, Myrsine lanaiensis, Nestegis sandwicensis, Pittosporum glabrum, Pleomele auwahiensis, Microlepia strigosa, Dicranopteris linearis, Carex meyenii, C. wahuensis, Trisetum inaequale, Alyxia oliviformis, and Smilax melastomifolia.
