Locality:
Mt. Ha'upu. Northeast side, on SE facing slope.
Plant Description:
Patch about 5 feet in diameter and 1 foot tall. Gloss upper side of leaves. Tubular, white flowers.
Habitat:
Open, on side of steep slope.
Associated Species:
W/ Melinis minutiflora, Syzygium sandwicensis, Dicranopteris linearis, Freycinetia arborea, Psychotria sp., Machaerina angustifolia, Bidens valida, Metrosideros polymorpha
Comments:
This is a HSPC focal pilot species. Plant was flagged and tagged with number 'KAD FLU HUL B 0001'. One voucher, DNA material and seeds were collected (half to nursery, half to storage). NTBG accession #20150918.
