Locality:
Kekaha, Kokee Road, on East side of road. Edge of road and old cane fields. Collected as part of KISC 2007 Early Detection Roadside Survey.
Plant Description:
Trees 15 ft. tall. Pods red w/ yellow and green, twisting, pendent. Filled with a white styrofoam-like substance. Splitting to expose dk brn shiny, sticky, seed. Flowers green calyx, white stmens, yellow pollen, Lvs dull med green above and dull light green below. New lvs dark red. Common. KISC #20070531A021.
Habitat:
Secondary vegetation.
Associated Species:
Lablab purpurea, Leucaena leucocephala, Ricinus communis, Schinus terebinthifolius and Indigofera suffruticosa.
