Along roadside E from Jatun Sacha towards Rio Napo, ca 1 km from river.
Plant Description:
Erect herb to 12 ft; fronds five ft long, dark green above with pale green midvein, below grey-green with whitish-green midvein; inflorescence erect, bracts deep scarlet with dark green to light green upper margin; inside of bracts whitish-yellow with dark green margin; floral bracts white; tepals white with dark green apex.
Habitat:
Secondary vegetation.
Associated Species:
Dominated by Erythrina and Artocarpus.
Comments:
Specimen consists of five sheets (059000-059004).
