Road from Tena to Pano, 5 km SW of Tena.
Plant Description:
Erect herb of seven ft.; fronds dark dull green with pale green midvein and glossy raised lateral veins, below glossy grey-green with dark green lateral veins and pale green midv peduncle pale green overlain with red, especially below 1st bract; bracts dark red at base, reddish-scarlet on face, running to black, dark green and finally pale yellow-green on margin; within pale yellow-green with dark green margin; floral bracts pale greenish-yellow, corolla dark green.
Habitat:
Secondary vegetation along roadside.
Comments:
Specimen consists of two sheets (058807 & 058808).
