Tree to 6m with dbh 10cm; flowers yellow with red center. N.V. Kelou [Pohnpeian]
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Bark: Fibers. Fiber from inner bark to make fibers for grass skirts. Fibers. Fiber from inner bark t o make fiber press for sakau. Treatment. of cuts that are hard to heal due to diabetes. Peel a strip of bark about 35cm long. Scrape outer bark, put on wound directly to aid in healing. Soak up liquid and pus from wound.'
