National Tropical Botanical Garden in Lawai Valley. McBryde Garden, Native Hawaiian Plants section along W side of main road.
Plant Description:
Shrub to 3 m with many slender, ascending brittle branches. Leaves gray-green. Flowers with green calyx & epicalyx, corolla yellow-green, fading purple with age, staminal column & style purple. Capsules pale green, maturing brown and dehiscing, seeds brown. Seed collection, from 2 adjacent plants (045 & 028).
