Herb, leaf: wide almost like a leaf of aulong Curcuma australasica but a bit slimmer, green color on top and light green at the bottom. Tuber: yellow color and has a good scent. N.V. Kisiniong oangitik [Pohnpeian]
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Tuber. For someone who was lost in the ocean for days. He/she needs to take this before eating food. Take one tuber, clean, pound, add or mix with ground coconut meat, place in a piece of cloth, squeeze juice into the mount. This will help the person who got exhausted and lost from the ocean to feel better. This has to be done before the person gets any food. Participant: Bernardo Ardos. Male.
