Multi-trunked to eight ft.; stems glossy dark green with pale green speckles; leaf sheath glaucous whitish to greyish-green; pinnae dark dull green above, glossy slightly paler with whitish-green midvein; inflorescence on stem below fronds, branches bright reddish-orange, fruit ripening glaucous dark blackish-blue. From seed recd from the Palm Society.
