Rhizomatous perennial herb, habit clumping, musoid, to 4 m tall; leaves erect, blade glossy green, sheath purple-brown mottled. Inflorescence pendent, bracts green with recurved yellowish margins, rachis yellow-green, tepals yellow-green, hypanthium green. Cult., untagged, probably clone of NTBG 8770402. Rhizomes sent to Colton Collins, Plant Group Hawaii, Hilo.
