Plant Description:
Tree, 5 m tall, caudex ca. 25 cm diameter near base, with mature fruit, 2 trees in immediate area, SEED COLL. ACC #20240182.
Habitat:
Metrosideros lowland wet forest and riparian vegetation surrounded by steep valley walls with Dicranopteris and mixed shrubs
Associated Species:
w/ Antidesma, Syzygium, Broussaisia, Perrottetia, Melicope spp, Cyrtandra spp, Psychotria spp, Dubautia spp, Geniostoma spp, Coprosma waimeae, Cheirodendron spp, Polyscias kavaiensis, P. oahuensis, rich fern and bryophyte understory.
