Plant Description:
Patch of terrestrial ferns in shaded understory, about 30 ft. above stream on a gentle slope with tree roots, leaf litter, and moss. Stipes of mature fronds are dark, almost black, fronds are medium green top and bottom, slightly hairy, especially abaxially where lighter, raised veins are visible. On the fertile fronds only a single sub-marginal sorus present on each pinnule, near acroscopic sinus of lobes.
