Plant Description:
Seed collected from east colony plant #6, fruit was previously bagged 26 July 2023, eastern colony w/ 3 large Cyanea kuhihewa and several small seedlings in the immediate area, SEED COLL. ACC # 20230426.
Habitat:
Metrosideros lowland wet forest bordered by steep slopes of Dicranopteris and Diplopterygium matting ferns, 90% closed canopy
Associated Species:
w/ Antidesma platyphyllum var. hillebrandii, Syzygium sandwicensis, Cheirodendron forbesii, Ilex anomala, Wikstroemia oahuensis, Polyscias oahuensis, Polyscias waialealae, Dubautia knudsenii, Psychotria mariniana, Kadua affinis, Melicope wawraeana, Melicope feddei, Diplazium sandwichianum, Sadleria spp, Cibotium spp.
