Plant Description:
Small treelet, 1.5 m tall, with immature and mature capsules. New growth pinkish, leaves medium green, stem dark. Parasitized by Korthalsella remyana. Growing in open flat area adjacent to North Bog fence, plants common among other Metrosideros taxa. I believe this is a unique form once known as var. microphylla, but not currently recognized. Seed collection made for KDOFAW seed bank (EMB0802202301).
