Plant Description:
Tree, 4m tall, leaning downhill to the South at bottom of slope but above stream, single-trunked but much branched, branches ascending. Leaves turned upwards, mostly clustered towards branch tips, deep red midvein obvious on abaxial surface. Flowers in bud in axillary cymes, and also ramiflorous at nodes along stems below the leaves. Only one immature fruit observed, a green cubicarp.
