Plant Description:
Tree 5 m tall, 25 cm dbh, bark gray, scaly toward base. Leaves light green. Flowers with orange, crepe-like corolla, not fragrant. Ripe fruits grown enclosed by acrescent calyx, Seeds germinating in ground, each with up to 3 seedlings. Cut parts with strong odor. Voucher for wood collection for Dr. Sherwin Carlquist, Santa Barbara, CA.
