Locality:
Kahili Mtn. Park, Kahili Ridge Trail above water tank, near back ridge before and below non-native grassy flat. Slopes below the P.bisattenuataXoahuensis hybird on trail before lateral ridge.
Plant Description:
Tree about 18 ft. tall, trunk cirr ca. 16 cm, bark dark with thick white lichen bands. Stems growing at 90d angles. Leaves light green below w/ slight hairs and dark green above. New leaves pink to red. Fruit and calyx w/ hairs.

Lowland Windward Wet Forest w/ Metrosideros-Dicranopteris.

Psychotria, Bobea, Rubus rosifolius, Pittosporum, Cyanea fissa, Bidens, Xylosma hawaiiense, Polyscias bisattenuata, P. oahuensis, Freycinetia arborea, Machaerina angustifolia, Hibiscus kokio, Spathoglottis plicata.
