Locality:
National Tropical Botanical Garden in Lawai Valley. McBryde Garden, native Hawaiian section along west side of main road.
Plant Description:
Tree 7 m with basal prop roots, 3 main stems to 15 cm dbh. Crown dense, 6-8 m wide. Leaves M-shaped, marginal spines greenish white. Sterile, with old male inflorescence remnants (flowering in mid-September 2021). Voucher for DNA study by Sven Buerki, Boise State U.
