Plant Description:
Tree to 3m, flowers white, fruits green dbh 10cm, along sea. N.V. remek [Pohnpeian]
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Fencing. Fencing for traditional house.
Fruit. Conjunctivitis. Use for eye infection, conjunctivitis, pus in the eyes and blurred vision. Use fruit. Put drops in the eye, then a person immediately sees clearly. Use when needed. Use only fruit with white seed.
Leaves. Congestion. Difficulty in breathing--congestion. Pound leaves on stove, squeeze juice from leaves with coconut cloth. Drink cup in morning and one in evening.
Leaves. Rash. Itchy rash that people scratch and it bleeds. Squeeze leaf juice into a cup. Put on rash 2 to 3 times daily, rub on rash use until rash is gone.
Young leaves. Other digestive system disorders/effects. To treat yellow stool--gall bladder problem. Take three young unrolled leaves, put in coconut or cotton cloth, and put the juice in a cup. Drink the juice with water to cleanse intestine--will first turn stools white then normal color again.
