Plant Description:
Shrub/tree branched at base then not again until top of stem where fruiting branches are present. Stems up to 2 meters long. Capsules with holes. No flowers present. Capsules with holes. Leaves with purple dots/lines in margins. leaves overall very dark, especially when compared to other nearby individuals. Milky white exudate present in petioles.

Metrosideros - Cheirodendron wet forest.
