Hanakapiai, north-western facing slopes in back of valley.
Plant Description:
Tree, 4 m tall, well branched, with flower and immature or possibly close to mature seed, single tree in immediate area, mapped.
Habitat:
Diospyros mixed mesic forest and steep slopes of Dicranopteris bottoming to riparian vegetation
Associated Species:
w/ Metrosideros, Chrysodracon, Psychotria mariniana, Bobea elatior, Rauvolfia sandwicensis, Planchonella sandwicensis, Wikstroemia oahuensis, Pisonia umbellifera, Kadua affinis, Bidens forbesii, a few relics of Ochrosia kauaiensis, Pteralyxia kauaiensis, Hibiscus waimeae hannerae, Cyrtandra confertiflora, C. kauaiensis, and Euphorbia haeleeleana.
