Napali-Kona Forest Reserve, Koaie Canyon, ridge formation between Kawaiiki Valley mouth and Hipalau, aka "the Great Escarpment"
Small shrub 3.5 dm tall, slightly woody at base, with buds, flowers, and immature fruits, growing out of pockets of dirt in a sheer vertical cliff face directly below a Polyscias racemosa. Eight clumps observed across cliff face from this point down to a rocky ledge approximately 100 ft. below.
