Tree of 50 ft introduced by the Agriculture Dept.; leaves dark glossy green above, matte, paler below with raised yellow-green midvein; sap milky; calyx pale faintly brownish-green; petals pale green; fruit woody (corky) brown; new leaves dark pink.
