Plant Description:
liana in monkey pod; sap milky; leaves dark glossy green above, duller, paler below; inflorescence erect; flower buds butter coloured, calyx butter, petals four, white, flowers sweetly fragrant (9 am), fruit ripening reddish-pink, splitting into three segments, seeds three, shiny black in a thin whitish aril. From seed collected in Venezuela.
