Locality:
National Tropical Botanical Garden, McBryde Garden in Lawai Valley. Zingiberales collection near Pump House 6, behind pump keepers cottage, along trail just N of Allerton Garden boundary.
Plant Description:
Small tree 4 m w spreading canopy. Lvs dark green. Inflr. terminal, calycophylls bright crimson; flrs w orange-yellow corolla, tube paler, hypanthium green, not fragrant (10 am). Capsules green. Ex hort Lyon Arb.
