Plant Description:
Shrub 1.5m tall, foliage anise-scented. Flowers yellow-green, with very pleasant sweet, anise-like odor (4pm). Leaves revolute, glossy above, dull beneath. Occasional on slopes and ridge crests. Endemic.

Low, windswept shrubby vegetation
Associated Species:
with Metrosideros waialealae, Dicranopteris Linearis, and Melicope spp.
