Plant Description:
Shrub, 2m tall. Flowers green, inconspicuous. Whole plant with strong anise fragrance. Growing in small stand of conspecifics.
Habitat:
Diverse mesic forest.
Associated Species:
10 m Metrosideros canopy with Dodonea, Coprosma, Psychotria greenwelliae, Cheirodendron trigynum, Rubus argutus, Hedychium, Carex meyenii, and Erigeron ground cover.
