Plant Description:
Common shrub of up to 10 ft.; leaves dark glossy green above, glossy, paler below with yellowish midvein; petals four, white; fruit pale green; entire plant with an unpleasant odour.
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Planted around homes to keep spirits away.
Habitat:
Secondary forest.
Associated Species:
Dominated by Cocos.
