Allerton Garden in Lawai Valley, Lawai-kai; Moreton Bay fig area along east side of Lawai stream.
Plant Description:
Tree of 25 m, trunk with buttresses to 3 m high, ca. 1 m diam. above these, bark smooth gray. Leaves dark glossy green above, white turning rufous below, sap white. Immature figs yellow-green, producing seeds and spreading locally. Cult., plants originally from Hawaii Territorial Nursery, planted in early 1950s by Allertons.
