Plant Description:
Tree 10 m tall, trunk 20 cm dbh, bark smooth, crown narrow. Syncarp green ripening waxy white, seeds dark brown. Corolla white, not fragrant (8 am). Abundant, indigenous. Seeds collected for NTBG.
Habitat:
Coastal forest on coral rubble fringing mangrove vegetation inside, on sandy, mucky soil.
Associated Species:
With Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora spp., Brugiera, Cocos, Barringtonia, Pandanus, Clerodendron, Derris.
