Plant Description:
Succulent herb. Leaves dark green glossy above, much paler below and glossy. Peduncle light green, glossy, pedicel very pale green, to 7 mm. Hypanthium green, 4x4 mm. Calyx lobes pale green, 2.5 x 3.5 mm. Pistil 7 mm, stigma 2 mm long, nearly white, longitudinally grooved, style nearly white becoming green towards base under shaggy white hairs. Corolla: 11 mm long, the limb 17 mm wide, white with slight gloss. Tube shallowly grooved. Petals 8 x 4 mm, ending in constricted appendage and arranged in a St. Andrews cross. Petals reflexed along their length. Stamen attached 6 mm from base. Pollen yellow. About 100 plants in population.
Habitat:
Dripping rock face 5-10 m above sea.
