Locality:
From Lanai Hale, upper Hauola gulch, in upper tributaries of gulch below Munro trail, steep bank above stream bottom 12 ft, main stream drainage, 400-500 meters below road, south facing slope.
Plant Description:
Sprawling shrubs, individuals intertwined. Stems winged. Top of lvs. dark green shinny w/ impressed light green veins. Lvs. broad, flat, turnate. Cymes terminal, erect, w/ small opposite lanceolate bracts, decreasing in size toward apex. Corolla green-white, salverform, corolla falling off entire.
Habitat:
Metrosideros- Dicranopteris linearis Riparian Zone.
Associated Species:
Scaevola chamissoniana, Pipturus, Clermontia, Broussaisia, Cyrtandra grayii, Cheirodendron, Hedyotis terminalis, Freycinetia, Sadleria.
