Locality:
Headwaters of the N fork of Wailua River, area called "The Blue Hole" or "The Crater", just E of Mt. Waialeale and Kawaikini; deep valley surrounded by steep cliffs ca 1000 m high laced with waterfalls. Elev. 680-700 m.
Plant Description:
Perennial herb common on rocks along edge of stream. Corolla lobes pale yellowish-green, tube paler. Capsule green.
Habitat:
low primary vegetation of small, stunted trees 1-2 m tall, numerous pteridophytes, and Gunnera over saturated, rocky ground.
