Area called "The Blue Hole"; Headwaters of N.Fork of Wailua River, just N. of Mt. Kawaikini, and S.E. of Mt. Waialeale. Deep, narrow valley surrounded by vertical cliffs laced with waterfalls; Alt. 600-700 m.
Plant Description:
Abundant in area around stream beds and along cliff walls. Corolla white-green.
Habitat:
Low undisturbed wet forest of small, stunted trees and shrubs, growing over saturated, rocky ground.
Associated Species:
W/ (Metrosideros, Bobea, Perrottetia, etc.) with ground cover of Pteridophytes, Gunnera, Cyrtandra, and Cyania,
