Plant Description:
Perennial herb, stems erect, 1.5-1.8 m tall, green, winged. Lvs. dark velvety green above, purple-red beneath, rugose. F lrs. ramigerous near base of stems, hypanthium green, calyx lobes red, corolla pinkish yellow. NTBG # 980845, plants ex hort. from Mercer Arboretum & Botanical Garden.
