Plant Description:
Tree 8 m, with 4 trunks from base, these to 15 cm diam. Flower buds cream with green tube, calyx & ovary green, flowers fragrant. Ripe fruits greenish-brown, corky within. Seeds collected for NTBG.
Habitat:
Coastal forest on coral rubble fringing mangrove vegetation inside, on sandy, mucky soil.
Associated Species:
With Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora spp., Brugiera, Cocos, Barringtonia, Pandanus, Clerodendron, Derris.
