Plant Description:
10 m tall tree; double trunked; 35 cm Dia. At Base; in flower and early fruit; above stream leading to falls.
Habitat:
Metrosideros-Dicranopteris Lowland Wet Forest
Associated Species:
w/ Machaerina angustifolia, Freycinetia arboria, Boemeria, Isodendrion longifolium, numerous pteridiphytes.
Comments:
Pollen specimen taken - L. P. Burney, Fordham University Leaf sample removed for DNA study of Gardenia remyi populations. Nina Ronsted 02/24/2021
