Plant Description:
From NTBG Acc# 990125. Collected in Faradofay, Madagascar by Goldsmith, J.E. Sn. Small shrubs up to 3 ft tall. Stems procumbent. Cut stems w/ astringent smell. Most with dark pink corolla, underside of petals white. About 1 in 10 with white flowers and red center. New stems green some with purple, older slight woody tan thin with green below. Fruit cylindrical and paired. Bud upright twisted. Leaves dark green with light green midrib above, below dull med-green w/ raised mid and lat veins.
