Mondrain Nature Reserve on Vacoas Ridges (west edge of central plateau); Most alien species hand- weeded from area by Mr. Gabriel D'Argent.
Plant Description:
Small tree 4 m tall, branches ascending, petioles & costa yellow, leaves glossy above. Fruits yellowish-green, with odor of methyl salicylate. Seed voucher for NTBG. Probable hybrid between C. macrocarpa A. Rich. and C. mauritiana Lam.
Habitat:
Primary evergreen moist forest.
Associated Species:
With Myrtaceae, Sapotaceae, and Ebenaceae dominant.
