Locality:
Northern end of island, Hanapuo'o valley, between Tehape and Tenihofati ridges; narrow valley with intermittent stream, basalt boulders.
Plant Description:
Treelet 2-2.5 m tall, fruits green, ellipsoid. Common locally, naturalized in valley bottom.
Associated Species:
Valley bottom with Thespesia populnea dominant, also Hibiscus tiliaceus, Morinda citrifolia, Inocarpus, Ficus prolixa, and understory of Nephrolepis and Phymatosorus ferns.
