Plant Description:
Tree, 7 m tall, well branched, leaves light green, on edge of ridge above camp w/ Diplopterygium, Psychotria mariniana, Melicope feddei, M. clusiifolia, Broussaisia arguta, Antidesma platyphylla, and Cheirodendron fauriei in immediate area, vegetative, only G. remyi known in Lumahai, mapped, CUTTING COLL. ACC # 20190668.
Habitat:
Metrosideros lowland wet forest bordered by steep slopes of Dicranopteris and Diplopterygium matting ferns, 90% closed canopy
Associated Species:
w/ Antidesma platyphyllum var. hillebrandii, Syzygium sandwicensis, Cheirodendron forbesii, Ilex anomala, Dubautia knudsenii, Psychotria mariniana, Kadua affinis, Melicope wawraeana, Melicope feddei, Diplazium sandwichianum, Microlepia strigosa, Sadleria spp, Cibotium spp.
